Always Remember Him

FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whatta WEEK! We are exhausted, but we are happy!  We were able to meet a lot more members this week and ended up finding some rad people! We've been walking and biking and laughing a WHOLE lot!

We had MLC this week so I got to see my sistas in the Fort and a member who was down there for a business trip! It was so so fun!

Sister Oliver is killin it. She really is one of the best people I know! I learn so much from her and I know this is where we need to be!

I have been focusing all my thoughts and studies lately on Jesus Christ. It has been incredibly enlightening and soo good for the soul. I love Him.  I came across this little story I wanted to share.

"Elder Gerald N. Lund of the Quorum of the Seventy describes a magazine article about a school that taught people how to rock climb. The article discussed the concept of belaying—the fail-safe system that protects climbers. One climber gets into a safe position, fastens the rope securely in a fixed position, then calls to his companion, “You’re on belay”—meaning, “I’ve got you.” The director of the school, Alan Czenkusch, described his experience with belaying to the author of the article:

"Belaying has brought Czenkusch his best and worst moments in climbing. Czenkusch once fell from a high precipice, yanking out three mechanical supports and pulling his belayer off a ledge. He was stopped, upside down, 10 feet from the ground when his spread-eagled belayer arrested the fall with the strength of his outstretched arms.

“Don saved my life,” says Czenkusch. “How do you respond to a guy like that? Give him a used climbing rope for a Christmas present? No, you remember him. You always remember him.”

When I come to better understand what it is Jesus really did for me, He becomes more and more a real Savior to me.

I find myself often in the same position Czenkusch was in- sometimes upside down or feeling 10 ft. from hitting the ground or barely hanging on or just in a messy helpless situation.

But who do I find catching me with the strength of His outstretched arms?

Jesus.

Everytime.

It's always Jesus.

And I can't ever forget it.

Let's all do better this week at remembering Jesus and face what it is He really did for us. There is no hiding from it.

He loves you. Looking for proof?

The garden. The cross. The empty tomb. &&&&& so much more.

No more running-

Just remembering

ALL MY LOVE,
