Team Jesus

FAMILY AND FRIENDS. 

This week we got to have some fun waking up at 5 am and teaching seminary to the youth. It was the coolest. I love them so much. 

Also we had the ward Halloween trunk or treat and it was a party. There are so many kids in this ward we just love them so it was a blast to see them all dressed up and play with them!! 

Today we got to drive through the biggest state park in Indiana- Brown County- and it was BEAUTIFUL. Indiana was no longer flat for a minute ahhaa there were rolling hills and millions of trees, it was just magical. I'm living all my fall dreams. I love it here so much. 

The week was alright! There seems to be a lot of opposition out to get us, but we are pressing forward nonetheless. 

We did have a neat experience meeting with Naomi this week (a recent convert). She's asked for some help reading the book of mormon, so we planned to read with her. Alllll day I kept getting a feeling we needed to read 3 nephi 17 with her. But I would talk to Sister Oliver and we would reason that it would probably be better to start from the beginning so she can understand the story like she wants to. But I just couldn't shake the feeling. We then were on exchanges, so I asked my temporary companion about it and she asked how I felt about either choice and so I said, "OKAY FINE WE JUST HAVE TO READ 3 NEPHI 17 HAHAA" 

We met with Naomi on a picnic table in this beautiful park, and Naomi read out loud the entire chapter. Instantly tears poured out of her as she spoke those special and powerful words from our Savior. The spirit touched my heart so so deeply. We had a powerful discussion and I just could feel Jesus sitting with us on that cold night in the middle of a park in Indiana. Naomi cried about how that was exactly what she needed to read, and how she never knew that was in the Book of Mormon. God knows us- and I promise that He uses the scriptures to speak to us. Even daily if we take the time to open them. 

I invite you to all read out loud 3 Nephi chapter 17 this week. I promise your testimony of your Savior and what He can do for you and those you love will increase. The spirit will touch your heart- there's just no way around it.
