FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
This week was kinda crazy haha, I feel like we were running all over the place.
&& again, I cannot believe that another week has come and gone.
We had Specialized Training for Sister Hingano down in Fishers this week and then the next day was MLC!! .... so we got to stay the night in Carmel and it was way fun!
ONE OF OUR FAVORITE FAMILIES FROM TERRE HAUTE came up to Carmel and met us for dinner while we were there and seriously it was the best day ever. Ahhhhh I miss them already. It was SO GOOD to see them.
SO many good things happening here in the Fort !!!
ONE of the most special though has got to be this Sunday, Steve gave his first ever blessing and ordained Jimmy to the priesthood. It was SO GOOD. && the best part was right after Steve looked at Jimmy, shook his hand and patted his back and said, "Welcome to the Aaronic Priesthood."
Hahahaha I wish you were all there.
Jimmy also was so awesome at welcoming Morgan who came with us to church this week. It's so fun to see Jimmy now want to help everyone else feel this happiness he has!
This Friday we are going to the Temple with Jimmy, Steve, and other members of our ward! It is going to be one of my most favorite days- I already know.
We had super good lessons with our other friends this week!! There is plenty of work for us to do it's just so so good.
On Sunday our ward mission leader pointed out to us how much he loved turning around at church and seeing us take up the entire row. Good thing there was 3 of us hahaha, our attention was being pulled in every direction but hey not complaining even a bit. He loved that there were new members, people coming for the first time, and people returning for the first time mixed in between all of us. Just felt like I was sitting in my home ward surrounded by my family!! Probably because I was :)
A song that has been stuck in my head all week is, "It Is Well With My Soul."
I love the verse,
"when peace like a river,
attendeth my way,
when sorrows like
sea billows roll,
whatever my lot,
Thou hast taught me to say,
IT IS WELL.
IT IS WELL, WITH MY SOUL."
I know that the Lord is with us in the good, the bad, the hard, the exciting, the painful, the confusing, and the peaceful times.
I know that I have a choice- that I ALWAYS have the choice- to be grateful.
I have to come to feel the power of the words in that verse on my mission more than ever before.
Whatever it may be, because of the Savior, it is well with my soul.
Not because I like it, or because I understand it, and definitely not because I want it- but because I TRUST that He is always good, and that He always has my best interest at heart.
SO, whatever our lot may be, the Lord has taught us BY EXAMPLE to say,
"It is well, it is well with my soul."
ALL MY LOVE,
ox sister rich
