FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
welllll, these past few days flew by and now we are here again. We had exchanges, zone conference, and.......
TODAY WE TOOK JIMMY TO THE TEMPLE !!!!!!
My heart is overflowing to say the least.
Just picture lil sister rich holding her two companions overlooking the font where two of our favorite members, Louie and Jimmy, were standing in white. And Jimmy, getting baptized for his father who passed away when he was a young boy, along with other members of his family.
Then, comes Steve, who despite his circumstances made his way right in the water to do his families work.
Then, myself being able to do work for my family, for Jimmy's family, and for another member in our ward who is unable to do it herself.
And most special of all was a conversation right after the work was finished. Louie shared the tender experience he had while performing both the baptism and confirmation for a specific name on Jimmy's list. Without going into too much detail, I will say that there wasn't a dry eye in the room.
What Louie didn't know was the specific name he was referring to was Jimmy' s father. What a beautiful, tender reminder that the ones we love are not far away from us. In fact, they are very much with us.
I don't have much time today, but I will say that I cannot deny the feelings I have experienced! What a special blessing I will cherish forever getting to see Jimmy from the day I met him on Tennessee Avenue to today, dressed in white in the Indiana Temple. A day I could relive forever.
I may be heading into my last week in Fort Wayne, and my heart could break in a billion pieces. No matter how many times I have to do this, it never gets easier. Honestly I think it just gets harder and harder for me.
I am full of love and full of gratitude. I often think to myself during the week, "How is this my life?"
In John 11 verse 36, they describe the Savior by saying, "Behold how he loved him!"
It would be my very deepest prayer, that the people in this beautiful city could say the same of me.
Oh, how I LOVE THEM.
And how I will always love them.
ALL MY LOVE,
ox sister rich
