Pure Love Never Fails

FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Whattt a week. Sister Nicol & I braved through a tough week for both of us, only to find once again how mindful God is of us and His children ALL over the world!

We were able to meet our Mission President and his wife on Friday, and I don't even have words! I have felt an immediate love & bond with them, and I know they are exactly what this mission needs! I got a unique opportunity to meet with President Page for a longer period of time after the conference, and I will certainly never forget it. I left with a feeling of peace that I have never once felt before in my life.

Since the meeting with President, miracles have FLOWED. I will try to share just one because I know it's probably really hard to make it through these emails every week, haha.

Sister Nicol and I have felt impressed this transfer to find people in a particular complex that is full of people who are from many different countries here for more opportunities and school. One night we were knocking doors in the pouring rain, and we weren't able to talk to many people at all :( But we have felt impressed to continue to go back again and again.

This week we received an online referral for a young man named Morgan, and the address on the referral was a door we had just knocked in the pouring rain two weeks ago, but no one answered! Out of all the thousands of doors here in Fort Wayne, that's no coincidence.

We go to meet him and when we knock on the door Morgan's friend, Andrew, answers and says that Morgan just moved and told us he would walk us over to his house. We went over and met Morgan, and Andrew decided to stay for our lesson. Both Andrew and Morgan are from Kenya, and have been here at school and working away from their families for 3 years. They are familiar with the Bible, but were SO excited to learn about the Book of Mormon. They asked for copies immediately and had lots of questions. It was incredible ! They also love to play soccer and recently we have just started a soccer night with our wards to bring people we are teaching for fellowship and they are so excited to come to that!

That all happened Saturday! Then, on Sunday, we found out that our stake was hosting an open house for a Mission President and his wife who just returned from their mission in the Congo! We thought it would be great to take Morgan and Andrew to meet them! They both ended up coming and it was amazing! We gave them a church tour and got to introduce them to so many members. There happened to be another couple who actually served their mission in Kenya a few years ago and were elated to meet them and talk to them all about where they're from. Andrew and Morgan were so excited and had such a great time. It was such a tender mercy because this couple lives in a whole different city, but happened to be there the night we brought them. Morgan and Andrew were very thankful to have met so many people, and are anxious to keep learning more!

I am completely convinced that our Savior knows each of us individually. And I have really felt His love for Morgan and Andrew. Another miracle about it is that they want more than anything to send the missionaries to their family in Kenya!! So special.

&& Jimmy is still just doing so so good. His hunger for the gospel always leaves me inspired to work harder and appreciate all the good in my life!

Really quick, I will leave with a simple thought.

What would Jesus Do?

He would love first.

The way that we love our family, our friends, && people all around us matters.

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples."

Let's not forget what God asks us to do first.

Love God & Love People.

As we do better in the way we love, I promise that others will then recognize us as disciples of Him who's love is infinite and eternal.

When in doubt, remember

PURE LOVE NEVER FAILS.

ALL MY LOVE,

ox sister rich
